Rhododendrons

Kamakura is a small city southwest of Tokyo and can be reached from Tokyo by a local train in about one hour. Kamakura became the de facto capital of Japan in 1192 when Minamoto-no Yoritomo became the Shogun, leaving the Emperor in Kyoto as a figurehead.
