Night Safari - A full day of "game drive" wasn't good enough for some of us. Four of us signed up for a night safari that started at 8:00 p.m. and lasted a little over 3 hours. We were in an open vehicle, and at the entrance to the park, a park ranger with a rifle joined us. He rode shotgun! A scout with a small search light sat in a chair on the hood of the vehicle looking for animals. Although we didn't get to see any big cats, it was a wonderful experience. We saw a bushbuck, impalas, hippos, a pair of dik-diks (Madoqua kirkii), bush babies (both lesser & greater), zebras, and a porcupine The photos I took didn't turn out very well.
