On the day I left Sydney for San Francisco, I had nice walk through the Royal Botanic Garden which is located right next to the Circle Quay.  It's a wonderful green space with fabulous views.  Unfortunately all the roses in the rose garden had been pulled up because of root rot.

Two dissimilar structures housed tropical plants, including many orchids.  In fact, the banner over the entrance read "Sex and Death", and a video about orchids was being shown in the lobby.
