Mt. Pilatus from Palace Hotel    One can take a ferry to Alpnachstad, a small town at the foot of Mt. Pilatus, and then take a cogwheel train to the summit.  For the return trip, I took a series of ropeways down to Kriens and walked back to Lucerne.
