Pisac The Sacred Valley of the Inca, along the Urubamba River, extends from the town of Pisac to Ollantaytambo, and it is easily accessible from the city of Cusco. Terraced fields with irrigation system are very impressive. There is an Inca burial ground (numerous holes on a cliff) on the site. Pisac's market is popular with shoppers. |

Ollantaytambo Fortress is located at the northwestern entrance to the Sacred Valley. It is a very well preserved fortress, originally started as a defense against the Antis from the rain forests, but it was never finished. |
