At the end of the hike I discovered that a leach had crawled up my hiking pole and helped himself to some of my blood though the back of the right hand!  Perhaps it was the curse of the dead.

Also, the view of the rainforest from the lookout point was supposed to be magnificent, but all I saw was some tree tops and clouds!
