Tutle Laying Eggs - We had to wait until about 10:45 p.m. for the first turtle to begin laying eggs.  We were escorted to the site by a park ranger.  This turtle was about 4 ft. (1.2 m) or so in diameter. Flashes were not allowed because they would startle the turtle.  So we only had a dim light supplied by the park ranger.  Video cameras weren't allowed either.

Tourists are taken to see only one turtle even though many turtles come ashore.  It was reported the next morning that 14 turtles laid eggs during the night.
