Oil Palm Plantations - We drove by acres and acres of palm tree plantations.  These palm trees produce nuts from which edible oil can be extracted.  Palm oil is high in saturated fat and is used in many processed foods.

Forests are being cleared at an alarming rate, and young oil palms are being planted everywhere, it seems!
