Dawn - The first half of the climb was difficult with steep stairs, and at some places we had to climb by pulling ourselves on a rope. My guide made me rest up a bit at the check point so that we wouldn't reach the summit too early and have to wait in the cold for the sunrise. Imagine that! The last segment was rather easy - walking on smooth granite surface. It is ironic that the climb at the top is the easiest! We reached the summit - Low's Peak (4,095m or 13,435 ft) just before 5:30 a.m.
