Himeji Castle - I-no-Mon   

The castle is designed so that one has to go through a series of gates and narrow paths to reach the Main Tower.   'i', 'ro', 'ha', 'ni', 'ho', ... is a way to enumerate 'Hirakana', Japanese phonetic characters. So, 'I-no-Mon' means the first gate.
