Kusatsu Onsen (Kusatsu Hot-Spring Resort) - Part I

Kusatsu Onsen is perhaps the most prominent hot spring resort in Japan, and I had to give it a try.  It's located in Gunma Prefecture in the central mountainous part of Japan.  Besides enjoying delicious dinners and relaxing soaks in a bath at a marvelous small ryokan, I enjoyed hiking around Shirane Volcano.
