Oberstaufen

Oberstaufen is a small town southeast of Munich, about half way to Lake Constance.   Since a former business colleague and good friend was staying at a clinic, recovering from an illness, another former business colleague and friend from Japan, his wife, and I decided to pay a visit.  We had very relaxing two days there, including a nice hike along the German-Austrian border.

Kempten

I took a day trip from Oberstaufen to Kempten, the largest city in the  Allgäu region.  It is located just southwest of Bavaria.

Füssen

I visited Füssen on one of my very first trips to Germany when I rented a car and drove around the southern part of the country.  The main attraction in Füssen is the Neuschwanstein Castle built by King Ludwig. Photos shown in this section were scanned from a negative and thus are of not-so-great quality.
