Paris

I visited Paris for the first time in May 2003 mainly to enjoy some tennis matches at the French Open.  I enjoyed staying at a small boutique hotel on Ile St. Louis near Notre Dame.  It was located in a very quiet but convenient neighborhood with a number of metro (subway) lines within walking distances.

I spent a day visiting Monet's house and gardens in Giverny.  I took a train from Gare St. Lazare to Vernon and then a short bus ride without getting lost.  I, also, spent some time at Musée d'Art Américan, viewing the paintings by American Impressionists.

French Open

I spent two days at Roland Garros during the first week of the 2003 French Open.  It was a lot of fun. Although I had day tickets to the main stadiums, I enjoyed seeing the matches very close up on the outer courts.
