Paris Avenue and Maisel Street    At the end of the nineteenth century the City Council designated for urban renewal the whole northern portion of the Old Town which included the Jewish Quarter.  Thus, Paris Avenue is now lined with apartment houses of predominantly Art Nouveau and eclectic facade.
