Ayers Rock, Northern Territory

Uluru

Since I had wanted to visit this hauntingly beautiful site for a long time, I was very happy to be able to experience the beauty of the place.  Although the hellishly hot weather (42°C) prevented me from climbing the hill, I enjoyed the visit very much.

Kata Tjuta

Kata Tjuta (Many Heads) is another famous rock formation in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.  We hiked into the Walpa Gorge as well as into the Valley of the Winds in the morning while it was still not very hot.
