Mrs. Lil Severin. Also, what is the correct botanical name? A The species Encyclia bifida is treated as a member of the genus Psychilis by most taxonomists today. Thus, the correct name is Psychilis bifida. Grow warm (80 to 95 F during the day with a 15-degree drop at night) in a well-drained potting mix (or mounted), in bright light suitable for cattleyas.
