Ascocenda, Neofinetia, and Vanda Photo Gallery

After struggling with these for several years, I recently decided to given up on ascocendas and vandas because I found it very difficult to grow and bloom them well. Humidity is very low in San Jose, and the night temperature - even in summer - is too cool for vandas.  However, I continue to grow Neofinetia facata (a.k.a Japanese "wind orchids"). They are not only compact and elegant but also have a wonderful fragrance.
