Most of the laelias shown here are temperature tolerant, and I grow them outdoors all year except for L. pumila and L. rubescens which I bring indoors for the coldest three months or so. They all require very bright light - they seem to do best under almost full sun. As they like to dry out, I have many of them mounted. Laelia anceps is one of my favorite species, and I expect several more new cultivars to bloom for the first time this winter. |
