Comment: Jean says "this is an example of plants that I got from a good friend of mine. He is a gardener and has one green-house with a good number of Oncidium splendidum, but above all, some hundreds of cattleya plants, that he 'inhereted' from his former boss. The plants must have an average age of about 40 years. It is in this green-house with those catts where I have got my 'orchid fever'. We suppose that they are hybrids; of course that is not one single designation left."  See a close-up photo of the lip.
