CommentRich grows this in a west window which gets dappled shade during the summer from a maple tree most of the afternoon in warm-hot  temps. Weekly fertilizer of a 7-9-5 Dyna- Gro fertilizer which works just fine along with a monthly application of 10-60-10 for the 3 Sphagnum: 1 med. Tree fern medium in a plastic basket.  The scent is a complicated sweet floral with fruit underlayers and hints of spices rounding things off that fills the whole house. Unlike its wardii parent it doesn't get a sour scent at night but rather just diminishes it fragrance output . The flowers last a bit longer than either parent, going for 5 days.
