Nakamotoara Rainbow Gem 'Pastel Pink' Contributor: Marci, So. FL. <= e-mail feedback to Marci. Camera: Sony DSC S85 4.1 mp Digital Camera Comment: Nakamotoara is an artificial genus involving Ascocentrum, Neofinetia, and Vanda. The charming pastel pink flowers measure approximately 2" high x 2" wide and are quite long lasting. The relatively small plant measures 7" in height from the top of the basket and the widest leaf-span is 14" across, tip to tip. It is growing in a vanda basket on an open South Florida balcony along with other vandaceous genera, where it receives bright light, daily watering and weekly fertilizing.
