Comment: Rich says "the flowers (scented like hot cinnamon) are not much bigger than 3/4" across. Culture requirements is low light, high humidity, intermediate temperature range, and mild fertilizer throughout the year. Since this vining Cattleya relative is growing near my Vandas it gets feed their winter time regiment of half 7-9-5 to half 5-30-5. Daily drench misting. I took the tree fern slab it was mounted to and backed it with Sphagnum moss and put it in a vertically halved corked tube to get this wet mountain grower to survive my drier Chicago conditions. The name is derived from the Greek meirakyllion, stripling in reference to its reduced creeping habit. When it bloomed in August it didn't have as strong a scent as this Winter blooming."
