Comment: Ludisia discolor is an easy to grow jewel orchid. It can be treated much like any other potted plant. Mine would be quite a bit larger than it is, but for the work of a hungry mouse last year. It nibbled on four new growths. The mouse soon died a squishy death. As you can see, the flowers are rather unusual for an orchid in that they are asymmetrical. The lip has a clockwise twist to it. See a photo of the entire plant.
