Comment:  This mini Capamenia uliginosa took a  3rd place at the recent IOS 50th / AOS Trustees / Mid-America Congress Show in Chicago for Oncidium related species comming behind an AOS awarded specimen Ada keiliana from Hoosiers, and AOS pulled Mexicoa giesbreghtiana from one of the local growers.

Rich says: "Grown intermediate to warm here in a clay pot with equal parts perlite, charcoal, fine bark, and Sphagnum moss bits. Allowed to dry out after a mild watering twice a week. This Brazilian species, related to Rodriguezia, comes from an area where it receives and drenching mist in late afternoon, but prefers to dry out more than others of that genus. I have another mounted to a thin tree fern slab with sphag behind in a  cork tube half. Both get moderate light from a bank of standard shop fluorescent lamps and some afternoon sun running up to 2000 FC.   It has a delightful Lily of the Valley fragrance with a hint of cinnamon to it far surpassing the tiny 1/2 mm flowers size.  The whole plant stands no more than 3" tall.  I have been able to duplicate that scent."
