Paphiopedilum purpuratum

Comment: Nigel says "perhaps the easiest species in the genus to grow and flower. This one is grown along side our other intermediate growers, but seems to tolerate a wide range of conditions - it will grow well outside here in southern california, as long as it is very well shaded from the sun at all times. The flowers last about 4-6 weeks."
