Comment:  Nigel took this photo during his recent trip to Venezuela, and he says "I found many plants of C. violacea growing as epiphytes and this is one of the few I found in flower. They were all found growing along the Caura river, a tributary of the Orinoco in Bolivar state. All were in very hot and sunny spots about 5-8 feet off the ground."
