Cymbidium Photo Gallery

Cymbidiums grow very well on the coast of California. Although San Jose is not on the coast, the weather is mild enough because of its proximity to the San Francisco Bay. I grow my cymbidiums outdoors on the south side of the house all year. They are protected from cold winter rain and occasional frost by a deep overhang. Although they are shielded from the hot mid-day sun by a large birch tree, they receive a lot of direct sun throughout the year. Now that I have reduced the size of my orchid collection, I currently have about one third of the varieties shown in this photo gallery.
